Talent van Van Gent
An exhibition of the artwork by Pieter Hendrik Van Gent. In total, he left a legacy of over 250 paintings, 170 of which are still in his family's possession. During the exhibition in Woerden a portion will be on display of which several will be for sale.
The life of Van Gent in short. He was captured and deported to Nazi camps. After the war, he married Co Kot from Woerden. Piet van Gent was honored with the Resistance Memorial Cross for his courage. He became a talented amature painter and calligrapher, primarily creating watercolors of his many travels abroad and of the Woerden area, such as Bodegraven, Loenen aan de Vecht, and Loosdrecht.
